World-wide, July 2015—It’s been awhile, but shortly after September 23, 2013, we introduced you to an amazing tree-like plant that is indigenous to the area surrounding the Himalaya mountain chain, and is as old as Frankincense and Myrrh.

We began talking about it after this September date because that’s when your editors were introduced to it.

We’re talking about the moringa tree. And from it a powder-like substance called moringa oleifera.

Dubbed the “most nutritious botanical in the world” by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the leaves, roots and bark of this scrubby but hardy little plant have been used for millennia to improve the health of those living in third-world countries, specifically, besides the Himalayas—India, Indonesia and Sub-Saharan Africa. For years, its primary purpose was to help new mothers lactate—so they would be able to better nourish their babies.

Everywhere USA July 2015—During the lifetime of most English-speaking people nowadays, stomach aches (or “tummy” aches) as most of us called them, were common and part of growing up.

Unfortunately, those problems persist in some of us even as we grow older. And what makes matters worse is that an ache here or there might mean something more serious than a pain caused by having one more piece of pizza than you should have.

Everywhere, August 2015 — The old Rolling Stones song with the lyric stating that growing old was a drag was written many years ago by Mick Jagger. At the time your editors had been in the advertising/public relations business for just a few years. One of our clients was an enormous retirement facility, ranging from single dwellings to a hotel-like complex, to condominiums – to a hospital setting.

To begin luring the next wave who might be interested in this lifestyle, we launched a campaign totally different than what was considered the norm at the time. We wanted to reach not only a changing target, but also those in their immediate families who might have a totally different idea about aging.

Most Everywhere, August 2015—Winter is not that far away. When it arrives, it will not only be colder (duh!) it will more than likely, depending on where you live, be snowy. It’s a good time to go to the movies, read, snuggle and in general, spend a few stress-free hours.

Everywhere, USA, July 2015—Ghee (pronounced pretty much like it’s spelled, or gē) is a shelf-stable class of clarified butter. It’s been used for centuries in the traditional cuisine that’s common in India—and has been noted for its wellness benefits.

The Good Old USA (and Elsewhere), July 2015—Movie starts like Dame Helen Mirren and Demi Moore seem to defy aging. It poses the question: Is it possible for the average American to maintain a smooth face and lustrous tresses even as time marches on? Model, celebrity trainer and nutrition expert Joey Thurman says it is, provided you follow an age-defying diet and fitness plan.

“The food you put inside your body is going to reflect on your outside appearance, and I don’t just mean your waistline,” says Thurman. “There are some foods which can actually age you faster than others, leaving you looking tired, bloated, and years older than you actually are. Thankfully, there are also plenty of foods which can help improve cell repair and keep you looking as young as you feel.”
